Entirely made of cork products granules resulting from the production of natural cork stoppers, agglomerated cork stoppers can be manufactured by molding or individual extrusion. In both methods, the substance used to bind agglutinating cork granules are approved for use in materials susceptible of food contact. These stoppers are an economical solution to ensure a perfect seal for a period which should not exceed generally 12 months. In addition to the economic advantage for wines that have low price, these stoppers have the advantage of being completely homogeneous. |
